The Real Risk Takers documents young motorcycle racers in Southeast Turkey, where economic hardship, high inflation, and limited opportunities shape daily life. Racing becomes a form of freedom, self-expression, and identity-making. Through close engagement with the community, I combine documentary and staged photography to challenge stereotypes that portray these young people as troublemakers. The work explores resilience, rebellion, masculinity, and the influence of social media, revealing the human stories behind the risks they take.
